VEON Ltd. (NASDAQ: VEON) has appointed Serkan Ozturk as its new Chief of Staff & Strategy Officer, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it continues to focus on executing its long-term growth and transformation strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The appointment became effective June 9, 2026, the global digital operator announced on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his new role, Ozturk will join VEON’s Leadership Team and report directly to Group Chief Executive Officer Kaan Terzioglu. He will be responsible for supporting the execution of the company’s strategic priorities, enhancing cross-functional alignment, and helping drive key initiatives across the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The newly appointed executive will play a central role in translating VEON’s strategic objectives into operational execution, with a focus on coordination, performance delivery, and organizational effectiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ozturk joined VEON in November 2025 as Group Director of Mergers & Acquisitions, where he contributed to the company’s investment and strategic development efforts. His promotion comes less than a year after joining the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before joining VEON, Ozturk served as Group Chief Information Officer at Dias Teknoloji. He also spent more than two decades at Turkcell, including eight years as Group CIO, where he led large-scale technology transformation projects and enterprise-wide initiatives across the telecommunications group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The appointment reflects VEON’s continued emphasis on strengthening leadership capabilities as the company advances its digital services strategy across its international markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Management said Ozturk’s experience in technology transformation, corporate strategy, and operational execution will support the company’s efforts to drive growth and improve organizational performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
VEON operates digital and connectivity services across multiple markets and has increasingly focused on expanding digital platforms and technology-driven services as part of its broader growth strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
